Book talk: Against Landlords with Nick Bano
Date and time: Wednesday 29 May, 6:30-8pm
Venue: Event space, Pelican House, 144 Cambridge Heath Road, E1 5QJ.
We are excited to welcome Nick Bano, housing barrister and author of Against Landlords: How to Solve the Housing Crisis, for a talk about his book. Against Landlords lays out a radical reinterpretation of the housing crisis, arguing that the cause of the crisis is that landlords have been allowed to profit from our need for shelter. It also sets out a path for how we can transform the housing system so that it serves the needs of tenants.
Nick Bano will be in conversation with London Renters Union organiser Alva Gotby. Afterwards, there will be a Q&A with the audience.
Please note that tickets are limited and that we will prioritise members of London Renters Union. If you haven’t joined yet, please sign up as a member here: londonrentersunion.org/join
