December 3 – #RentFreezeNow day of action
London rents are up 18% in a year and many of us face rent rises of £3,000 per year or more. These rent rises are unjustifiable and unfair.
Estate agents are telling landlords to put the rent up. Landlord and estate agent profits are rising. While they get richer, we get poorer and face homelessness.
On December 3, renters are fighting back. Renters across London will be taking action against the estate agents and landlords that are driving up rents and profiting from the crisis.
Scotland’s tenant union Living Rent has won a rent freeze and an eviction ban – it’s currently illegal to put up the rent or evict tenants in Scotland. Let’s fight for a #RentFreezeNow same here.
