LRU member solidarity training part 1 – February 9

11:45am – 4:30pm // Sunday February 9 2020
Venue: Raven Row, 56 Artillery Ln, Spitalfields, London E1 7LS
Member solidarity is the name we give to the organising we do to stand up to the landlords and estate agents. We’ve already had some big wins: resisting evictions, getting money back for our members and winning repairs and improved conditions. This organising is key to improving the lives of our members and building our power as a union. In 2020, we want to massively expand our member solidarity organising. To do that, we need to skill up lots of new members who can join and get stuck in with our member solidarity teams.
Part 1 of our member solidarity training will run on February 9 and will cover:
- Get an introduction on key areas of housing law from experienced housing advisors and legal experts.
- Talk about our member solidarity organising method and how you can get more involved in it.
- Learn about how we can use different types of tactics to take on landlords and win.
