Email your MP about the Coronavirus rent crisis

Renters are being forced to choose between paying rent or buying food and other essentials. Many renters are already in debt. Fear of eviction and rent debt is forcing people to go out and work rather than staying home.

Unless the government introduces greater protections, we’re heading for a chaotic rent debt and evictions crisis.

We can’t rely on politicians to solve our problems for us. But we do need MPs in London to be joining our calls for greater protections for renters. Please take two minutes to share your experiences and views with your MP.

If you have a current housing issue, its good to let your MP know. If you’re an LRU member, we can work with you to get your MP to usefully support you in addition to the support you’re getting from the union.

Use our simple tool to send a message to your MP using our template letter. Start by entering your postcode.
