Hackney renters rights training 13 October 2022

Time: Thursday 13 October, 6-8pm
Venue: Hackney CVS, 24-30 Dalston Lane, E8 3AZ
This training is for all members of LRU Hackney branch who want to learn more about their rights. As renters, we know that the law is often on the side of landlords. But we do have some rights, and it’s useful to learn what they are and how to use them. Making sure our legal rights are respected is a key way we can improve the lives of our members. Knowing our rights can help us feel confident to stand up to landlords and letting agents.
This training will cover the issues many renters experience, including eviction, disrepair, rent rises, deposit issues, and harassment. There will be time to ask questions, meet other members of the branch, and hear more about how you can get involved.
Food will be provided.
We can organise childcare and interpretation if needed. If you have any questions, dietary or accessibility requests, please email Kenny – kenny@londonrentersunion.org
