LRU Organising Skills training – 28th & 29th January 2023, 10am – 6pm
Food, childcare and travel expenses provided.
Venue: Pelican House, 144 Cambridge Heath Road, E1 5QJ
This training is aimed at people who are already active in building a local LRU group or branch and would like to take on more responsibility for supporting other renters to get involved.
Our members are facing multiple crises caused by billionaire landlords and politicians, we need to fight back, we need to win and we need to get organised!
A team of experienced trainers from our education working group is running an exciting and innovative organising skills training. It aims to give members the tools they need to play a bigger and more effective role in building the power of renters.
On this 2-day training course you’ll learn about and practise the fundamentals of organising, including:
🫱🏿🫲🏼Community Outreach
📈Leadership Development
❤️🔥Creating empowering spaces
👂🏽Group Facilitation
📚Doing Political Education and more!
Participants will be supported to put their new skills into use in their LRU group or branch.
A requirement of this training is that you commit to coming to the weekend itself and the half-day follow-up session in March.
