All Member Assembly 2023
One of the most exciting parts of Sunday’s All Member Assembly is that there’s time to debate motions that decide the whole union’s plans for the coming year.
The organising team has decided that there’s only time to properly discuss and debate 4 motions. However, 6 motions have been submitted.
There are two motions submitted by the Coordinating Group that will take the first two slots, as is allowed for in the Union Rules.
There have been four motions submitted by branches. We need to decide which two get debated on Sunday at the All Member Assembly.
There will be an online vote to decide which motions we debate on Sunday. Voting is open now and will close at 2pm on Friday. Cast your vote below
Every LRU member will get two votes and the two motions with the most votes will be debated on Sunday.
The motions are as follows:
Motion A: LRU and trade unions (submitted by Hackney branch). Large text version here.
Motion B: Palestine Liberation & BDS (submitted by Haringey branch). Large text version version here.
Motion C: Indigenous land back movements (submitted by Haringey branch). Large text version here.
Motion D: An end to private property (submitted by Haringey branch). Large text version here.
