A team of trained LRU facilitators will be running our one-day LRU Organising skills Training. It aims to give members the tools and ideas you need to play a bigger and more effective role in building the power of renters to change the housing system!
This training is aimed at members who are already active in building a local LRU group or branch and would like to take on more responsibility for supporting other renters to get involved and to grow power in the branch.
Our members are facing multiple crises caused by billionaire landlords and politicians, we need to fight back, we need to win and we need to make our union even more powerful!
On this 1-day training course you’ll learn about and practise the fundamentals of community organising, including:
🫱🏿🫲🏼Outreach
📈Building Leadership
👂🏽Organising conversations
💪🏿Fighting powerful disputes
➕ And more!
Participants will be supported to put their new skills into use in their LRU group or branch.
A requirement of this training is that you commit to coming to the day itself, and an evening sesion later in the year, as well as doing follow up tasks with your branch organiser.
