Disputes training 1 July 6-8:30

When: Monday 1 July, 6-8:30pm
Where: Common Room, second floor, Pelican House, 144 Cambridge Heath Road, E1 5QJ
A dispute is when union members take collective action to put pressure on landlords and letting agents to resolve a member’s housing issue. We organise public protests to improve our members’ housing conditions, to get more people involved in the union, and to show that the current housing system isn’t working for renters. This is one of the most important things we do as a union, and disputes builds power that we can use to change the housing system.
This training is about how, when, and why we take collective action on a member’s housing issue. It will cover how we plan protests and learn more about landlords and letting agents.
This training is for members who are active in our member solidarity team, or want to get involved in member solidarity.
We will serve some food, and access requests are available via the form below. If you have any questions, please contact alva@londonrentersunion.org
