Join renters from the Brent community to find out how your branch can build the power to transform the housing system. Brent is under attack, many families stay stuck in temporary accomodation, young people cannot afford a place to live, people work two jobs just to pay the landlord, but big international companies are making millions, whilst the council fails our community. This training is being put together to provide you the skills to join fellow renters and fight for change.
A team of trained LRU facilitators will be running two local afternoon trainings on Saturday 19th and Saturday 26th April, 1pm – 5pm. You must be a member to attend, and this training is for Brent members who would like to get more active, take leadership, learn about our rights and help other peope become more involved.
On this 2-day training course you’ll learn about your rights and practise the fundamentals of community organising, including:

Únete a otros inquilinos de la comunidad de Brent para descubrir cómo podemos puede impulsar la transformación del sistema de vivienda. Brent está bajo presión: muchas familias se quedan atrapadas en alojamientos temporales, los jóvenes no pueden permitirse un lugar para vivir, hay personas que trabajan en dos empleos solo para pagar al casero, pero las grandes empresas internacionales ganan millones, mientras que el ayuntamiento falla a nuestra comunidad. Este entrenamiento se ha organizado para brindarte las habilidades necesarias para unirte a otros inquilinos y luchar por el cambio.
Un equipo de facilitadores expertos de LRU impartirá dos sesiones de capacitación por la tarde, los sábados 19 y 26 de abril, de 13:00 a 17:00. Hay que ser miembro para asistir. Esta capacitación es para miembros de la sucursal de Brent que deseen participar más activamente, asumir el liderazgo, aprender sobre nuestros derechos y ayudar a otras personas a involucrarse más.
En este curso de capacitación de 2 días, aprenderás sobre tus derechos y practicarás los fundamentos de la organización comunitaria, incluyendo:
