Save the date for our annual All Member Assembly – a day when LRU members across London come together, celebrate our victories and make plans for the year ahead to grow our power and change the housing system!

🗣 Help shape the way we work together, and how we build our power to win!

Each year, the All Member Assembly brings members together to discuss and vote on motions developed by branches, working groups, and groups of individual members.  These motions can be about how we work together, how our union is run, or new projects that will build and strengthen our union’s power.

Last year’s motions included setting up the Trade Union working group, and changing our membership subs structure.

This year, members will be able to submit amendments ahead of the AMA, and we’ll spend the day discussing the motions and amendments.  Look out for an email next week with details on the full motion and amendment proposal process.  The deadline for motion submissions is 2nd December.

⭐️️ Hear from LRU members and branches about our wins over the past year!

This year has seen the launch of our Rent Controls campaign; the new Trade Union working group standing in solidarity with workers and creating new connections with our union; the Renters Rights bill introduced with changes that have come through hard fought challenge and action by union members through the years; and members taken action to win repairs and compensation for each other!

The All Member Assembly is also when we elect members to the Coordinating Group, our union’s leadership body – nominations will open soon for two Directly Elected Coordinating Group members.

This event will take place in person, with the option to join online via Zoom.  For those attending in person, there will be lunch, snacks, tea and coffee, and childcare available.
