At the union’s 2023 All Member Assembly, we decided that we will no longer be offering free memberships to new joining members. This is in order to build the union’s financial independence and the ownership of the union by its members (you can read more here about why). New members are able to choose their own payment level, down to a minimum of £1 per month.
