Event: Building a better housing future – 27th July 2022

In London Renters Union we know plenty about what’s wrong with housing in London, but how could it be better? This panel discussion will be a chance to think about housing futures, both in the short term and long term. What housing would you want to live in? Does it already exist or do you want to create something new? How can we move housing away from being a prop for the economy towards being embedded in community? What can we do to build our visions for housing together? The event will begin with a discussion among the panel before opening out to all attendees.
Speakers will include:
Vicky Spratt, housing journalist, friend of LRU and now author of Tenants: The People on the Frontline of Britain’s Housing Emergency
Lev Kerimol, Director, Community-led Housing London
Helen Bartlett, co-operative housing founder who also works with Brighton & Hove Community Land Trust
When: 6.30pm-8.00pm Wednesday 27th July 2022
Where: Pelican House, 144 Cambridge Heath Road, Bethnal Green E1 5QJ
Who: This event is open to non-members and members of LRU. Do invite your friends and circulate the link.
